What is a DAO?

The proliferation of DAOs have provided an attractive alternative to traditional collaboration and governance frameworks in DeFi. But what is a DAO? A decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) is an entity with no central leadership, where decisions are made by a community organized around a specific set of rules and governed on the blockchain. Smart contracts establish the rules to be operated on and executed when pre-agreed criteria are met. Change and improvement proposals are raised and discussed by community members and tokens are used to delegate voting rights for decision-making. The creation of JetDAO is the natural first step towards activating and sustaining a decentralized community with well-aligned incentives to govern the protocol.

JetDAO's Raison d'être

JetDAO inspires to enable all humans to have access, freedom and autonomy to own and manage their finances.

To achieve that, JetDAO will steward a permissionless and secure financial platform, managing it effectively, efficiently and with minimized human bias through user-centric, fully decentralized on-chain governance.
